About Cindy Parran Brochu

I am a Financial Coach, and my mission is to teach people how to take control of their financial life.  I believe that when people have their financial life in order, they have more time to focus on their true passions, free of worry and stress.

I offer dynamic programs and products that show my clients how to succeed with money and live a financially fit and prosperous life.  I teach people how to successfully money plan, relate to money differently, and make smart financial decisions, and  I provide my clients with support, guidance and accountability to overcome obstacles to build financial confidence.

My professional experience includes managing a non-profit with a $3.85m budget, where I was responsible for all aspects of running the business.  I left that work to focus on my true passion of educating people on how to be successful with money and live a happier, healthier and more prosperous life.

I live in Saco, Maine, with my husband, son, pet cockatiel bird and enjoy riding my horse every chance I get.  I love nature and staying active.

Why a Clover?

I get many questions about the use of the four-leaf clover on my site, many of which are inquiries about whether it’s due to Irish ancestry (nope, I’m not Irish). Here’s why I love the symbolism behind the clover:

The meaning of clover and shamrocks in symbolic dreams deals with growth, financial gain, success, good health and achievement. This is largely due to its color, as green is typically a brain trigger for refinement, wellness and satisfaction. Also, the smell of clover is sweet, and studies have shown it induces a feeling of calm – this also adds to the symbolism of attainment and contentment associated with dreaming of shamrocks.  A common idiom is to be “in clover,” meaning to be living a carefree life of ease, comfort and prosperity.

Essentially, this sums up to what I’m about as a financial coach — helping you attain a stress-free, financially fit life that brings you prosperity and good health.  Make sense now?

Interview with Cindy

Q:  How did you get started in this work?

A:  After my husband passed in 1998, and having a son to raise, it became a priority to manage my finances.  Over the years since then, I streamlined the process and became very proficient at running my financial life with a game plan.  This has led to my financial success and prosperity.  I have created programs for my clients to achieve the same success.  Before declaring it to be my passion in helping others to achieve financial health and prosperity in their lives, I managed a non-profit corporation with a $3.85m budget.  This was very challenging and rewarding work, however, I was drawn to the idea of using my unique gifts and talents to help others be financially healthy and happy.

Q:  Who are your clients?

A:  I work with women, men and couples–people who are ready and willing to make the necessary changes to achieve financial wellness.  Many of my clients are overwhelmed at the thought of managing their money and feel that money is running their life.  They want to know how to simplify their finances and reach their financial goals. My programs are designed specifically to help my clients eliminate their financial struggles, strengthen their relationship with money, succeed with a financial game plan, and stay on financial track.

Q:  What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of your clients?

A:  I only work with motivated women, men and couples who are committed to themselves and are willing and ready to make changes.  Change can be uncomfortable but it’s a necessary step to creating a healthy relationship with money. Clients who are at a place where they will do whatever it takes to reach their financial goals, are absolutely my ideal clients, and these people achieve big results, as do people who have a “no excuses” approach to life and want to know exactly what steps will help them live financially happy and prosperous.

Q:  How quickly do your clients see results?

A:  My clients see results in the first session.  As quickly as you put work into the program, you will see results, and you‘ll feel more confident as you move through the program.

Q:  Do your clients ever continue past the original program?

A:  Yes, some do.  Many clients, who have been through one of my programs, want accountability after completion of the program to help them stay on financial track, either for a short or longer period of time.  They appreciate the accountability that I provide.

Q:  Do your programs really work?

A:  Yes, absolutely.  I have many clients who have been through my programs.  They now feel they are in the driver’s seat when it comes to money.  They have also told me they sleep better at night and have more meaningful relationships with family members as a result of going through my programs.  You can experience the same and expect to:

  • Get clarity
  • Change your money behaviors
  • Believe in your financial decisions
  • Understand how to run your life with a financial game plan
  • Feel more calm and confident
  • Apply tools to simplify your financial life
  • Be worry-free about money
  • Reach your financial goals

Q:  Can a prospective client contact your former clients to find out what it’s like to work with you?

A:  Definitely.  I encourage you to do so.  On my Testimonials page, you’ll find comments from clients who have experienced great financial changes and success from my work with them.  Please e-mail me at cindy@spendingplan.biz, and I will connect you via e-mail or phone.

Q:  Are there some people you don’t work with?

A:  People who consistently make excuses.  I find that people who continually make excuses aren’t committed to the work involved in achieving financial fitness.  In order to achieve success in anything we do in life, it means committing to making the necessary changes in order to make that happen–with absolutely no excuses.

Q:  What if some prospective clients feel they are just too busy to get started with one of your programs?  What should they do?

A:    Together we will find time in your schedule.  If you don’t ever start, you’ll never get to the financial life you desire.  I understand that you’re busy.  It really comes down to whether you’ve had enough of what’s not working in your financial life.  The things in life we really want, we find the time for.   If your intuition is telling you to do this, then I hope to hear from you!
